Memorial Day
Today is a day of remembrance. For those who died in service to our country I say "Thank You".
Airpower of Hampton Roads 2016
I was able to attend both days. The first day was postponed due to rain. What I enjoyed most was spending time talking to the men and women who currently serve. We should be thankful for all the veterans and active duty for their sacrifice and dedication.
This was the first airshow at Langley in 4-5 years. I'm so glad it returned this year and I hope we will see another next year.
All of the photos were shot with the Fuji XT-1 and the Fuji 100-400mm. (rented the lens from Lens Pro To Go.
Langley AFB Airshow
This weekend April 22-24, 2016 Langley AFB or Joint Base Langley Eustis as its now called is again having an airshow. Its been a few years due to budget issues but we again get to see the magnificent U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds. If you get a chance come on out to Langley and help celebrate 100 years of flying at Langley. Here is a photo from a few years ago.

Cape Charles, Virginia
Hampton Roads Digital Photography Club held a photowalk in Cape Charles, Virginia on January 9, 2016. Cape Charles is a small town in Northampton County which is on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. What a wonderful place. If you're looking for a place to visit this is a must. Special thanks to Kelly's Gingernut Pub and we appreciate the hospitality offered by At Altitude Gallery.

2015 My Year in Review
I would like to share with you my year in review. First, this is not a best of the best. These are the photos I feel made an impact on me. So, you have some photos that are SOOC (straight out of camera) meaning I did not process the photo other than a little sharpening. Some of the photos are in color and some are in black and white. Most importantly you will see an emphasis on people and capturing that slice of life that goes by so quickly.
Secondly, all just happened to be taken with either the Fuji X-T1 or Fuji X-100T. Yes, I did use the Nikon D3 during the year but 98% of my photos were taken with Fuji mirrorless cameras. I throughly enjoy using the Fuji gear. The gear has excellent image quality, great color rendition and did I mention it's lightweight. Fuji is a great company. They listen to their customers and have issued several firmware upgrades to the cameras to help keep them current, make improvements and correct issues. Are they perfect? The answer is no. Do they get it right all the time...NO. As of right now they seem to be listening and that's refreshing. I hope they continue.
I started with 88 photos and edited the list down to the 20 something photos that you see. The year was busier that I would have liked it but overall a good year. My daughter who is my youngest graduated high school and started college. But there was an airshow, PhotoPlus Expo, photo club events with great guest speakers and plenty of time to shoot on weekends.
Looking forward to 2016.

It's high school football season. That means "Faces in the Crowd". I have been very fortunate to be one of the photographers chosen to photograph the people in the crowd at high school football games. So, when you get a chance please check out the section.
